I’m Derrick Maurice Sanderson, a Boston-area artist inspired by nature, people, and current events. My work is known for whimsical storytelling and bold, unexpected color palettes—because I love turning everyday subjects into something imaginative, beautiful, and a little magical.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, I relocated to Boston and now show throughout the Greater Boston and MetroWest area. I’m an active member of the Natick Art Association and participate in exhibits and programs year-round. In 2017,

I was honored by the Boston Celtics—my portrait of Avery Bradley was received by the team’s ownership and displayed in the TD Garden Putnam Club.

I create original paintings, drawings, illustrations, and greeting cards, and I accept commissions.
